This page holds a special place in my heart as I have dedicated it to my brother, Daniel 'Dan Dan' Barrone, who lost his life in a log truck accident in December of 2022. It has taken me forever to muster up the words I want to share with you all, as my BIG FEELINGS tend to overwhelm my thoughts and leave me unable to decipher the many things I want to share with you about my brother. I have written and rewritten paragraph after paragraph, what seems like 100 times, but ended with nothing concrete until now."

Heartfelt Stories of Dan Dan's Legacy & How His Friendship Continues to Inspire
I want to begin by briefly telling you who Dan Dan was to me. He was my younger brother, but as we grew up together, he became my best friend, protector, confidant, and so much more. If I needed help, Dan Dan was there no matter how busy his life was. He loved with all his heart and showed that love through his actions. Both big and small. He inspired, befriended, and played a special role in the lives of so many people. When I asked others who Dan Dan was to them, they did not hesitate to respond with heartwarming sentiments.

He came out triumphant and stronger because he gained and learned from his trials. He was never afraid to show his love and always gave with his long arms a big tight Sasquatch hug. My head pressed against his chest listening to his huge heartbeat so loud. Dan Dan never did anything, just halfway he did everything with good intent. He was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He was an angel among us and now he is an angel watching over us.” -Mom

How the Love of a Caring Husband & Brother Sparked a Life-Changing Scholarship
After Dan Dan passed away, his wife, Rachael, reached out to me, telling me she wanted to keep his memory alive by starting a scholarship for high school graduates in Taos. I was eager to help, so I began figuring out what I could do to help raise funds for this special commemoration in my brother's name. My thoughts led me in different directions, and then I remembered something my brother told me when I was only dreaming about starting my business.
He said, "You can dream, but if you don't take the steps to make it happen, it will never happen. Go for it!!"
So, of course, I knew the exact thing I needed to do. Using my talent as a photographer and my brother's kind words, I started a photoshoot fundraiser, donating all proceeds to the Dan Dan Barrone Memorial Scholarship Fund.
